What is Quid Pro Quo?
Quid Pro Quo is a new London-based international theatre company that puts moving and engaging storytelling, relevant and highly potent texts and quality acting in the front seat.
Who are we?
We are three actors and creatives, all 2023 graduates from East 15 Acting School, with a passion for theatre making and story telling. We all have an international background, but met in London three years ago at the Ba Acting (International) course at East 15. After three years of working closely together as a class, we discovered that we had a shared passion for (and, more often than not, the same idea of made out for) good theatre and good acting. We all knew we were interested in something more than exclusively being attached to projects as actors, but wanted to create, write, direct and make music - and so, the decision to form a company together was made. Our dream is to be able to make theatre that lives and excites, and to tell stories that are important and questions the way we live our lives. Whether it’s a family drama, a political drama, a coming of age comedy or an old classic - the most important thing for us is to tell stories about being human, and all the beauty and tragedy that comes with it.
Öncel Camci
Öncel is an actor/writer/composer who was born and raised in Türkiye.
After being fired as a waiter twice, Öncel knew that being a creative is his true calling.
He is a 2023 graduate of East 15 Acting School – which he represented as a finalist at the 2023 Spotlight Prize.
“An actor to watch out for” -The Reviews Hub, 2023.
Sarah is an actor/writer/director from Aalborg, Denmark. She enjoys theatre that questions what it means to be human and watching actors truly connecting and giving their sweat, spit and tears.
She loves lines that precisely encapsulate something that otherwise was hard to put words on, and her favorite playwright is Chekhov - partly because he’s a genius at writing dialogue and mostly because there is nothing more universal than being bored, sad and drinking too much vodka.
Sarah Majland
Boyan is a recent graduate from East 15 Acting School. As far back as he can remember he always wanted to be a gangster.
However, he realised the only legal way to achieve that was by becoming an actor. He took up that challenge when he was 11 and has never looked back.
Now, Boyan is ready to take on the challenge of running his own company and being part of creatively producing new and exciting plays - always done with the ingenuity of a true wise guy.

“Quid Pro Quo Productions was formed to explore flawed and grey characters, and this show succeeds at this. It never shies away from stripping the characters down to the dark and uglier side of being human.”
